Surveys show that 85% of girls drop out after grade 5 or 7 because they do not have access to a nearby school and village local transport facilities are very poor and this increases the dropout ratio among girls.

Kashti-E-Umeed is a national organization working with rural youth in UP East villages. They work to create equal opportunities to address economic and social challenges for women.The main objective of the project is to provide vehicles for girls who have passed grade 7, as there are no higher grades in the village. This reduces the dropout rate among girls and supports them in higher education in the surrounding villages.
